The Nigerian Army has embarked on on three-day free medical outreach to help internally displaced people (IDPs) in Konduga, Borno State.
Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, confirmed the empowerment exercise, CAJ Reports.
He said the scheme would conclude on Friday.
"Already, personnel of the Nigerian Army Medical Corps have been attending to numerous persons that turned up for the exercise,” Usman said.
Konduga has not been spared the incessant attacks the Boko Haram sect has carried out in the state in recent months.
Recently, Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, said about 60 to 70 percent of the town had been burnt down.
The town is about 35km from Maiduguri.
