Aggrieved workers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday apologized to the leadership of the party over their actions during the week-long crisis that rocked the party.
According to Thisday Reports, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has demanded an apology from the workers before their demands will be looked into and resolved.
The workers had earlier vowed not to apologize because they were not be blamed for making the crisis a public discourse.
In an apology letter addressed to the Acting National Chairman, Uche Secondus and members of the NWC, the staff said they regretted their actions.
They noted that they regretted that the proper channels of communication were not followed in expressing their grievances.
The party workers and the NWC members have aggrieved over the plans by the NWC to reduce the staff workforce by 50 percent with the remaining 50 percent to have their salaries cut by half.
