#1 Lil Wayne Vs. Cash Money Beef Recap
It all started in December of 2014 when Lil Wayne expressed his frustration with Cash Money Records via Twitter. This happened shortly after the contest on I Discover Stars was announced, where Birdman stated that he was looking for new talent. The problem was that Lil Wayne's "Carter V" release date was pushed back at the same time and Weezy had not been paid his advance for beginning the album, nor completion.
#2 Lil Wayne Vs Young Thug
The heat intensified when Lil Wayne and Birdman's new protege', "Young Thug", seemingly capitalized off of this dispute by adding fire to the fuel stating that he was serious about creating a Carter VI album. This brought Lil Wayne to rage and sharp words and disses were exchanged for months.
#3 Tour Bus Shooting
While in Georgia earlier this year, Lil Wayne's parked tour bus got shot up shortly after the disses. This led many to speculate the obvious, but without proof. This would later change as the year went by and police gathered enough intel to make an arrest of a Young Thug affiliate.
4 Young Thug Arrested
Early Wednesday July 16, 2015, Young Thug was arrested on an unrelated charge of threatening a mall security guard and making "terrorist threats". He was arrested in his Sandy Springs home on an outstanding warrant. This is when the prosecutors working on the Lil Wayne tour bus shootings announced via twitter that Young Thug and Birdman are being investigated due to their working relationship with the shooter. He even appeared in a music video where Young Thug dissed Lil Wayne while he held a gun.
