After passing a medical and agreeing personal terms, Atiku
Abubakar was today unveiled as APC United footballer. The
former PDP Midfielder arrived at APC United’s Desert
training complex in Adamawa via helicopter, where he was
greeted by Chief Coach Asiwaju Tinubu.
Later in the day, Atiku was officially unveiled as a United
player to fans and supporters of the APC. Atiku’s first game
for APC will be on Tuesday against APUGA FC in the
premiership league ahead of the 2015 Super Cup Final on
February 14th against Ebele Bombers. The APC confirmed
the signing of Midfielder Atiku from the PDP on a season
long loan deal with an
option of a buy out clause at the end of the current season.
The 67 year old utility player who shall wear Jersey Number
10 moved to the APC as part of a deal which saw Attahiru
Bafarawa and Ibrahim Shekarau, both surplus to requirement
moved to the PDP. Atiku struggled to make an impact during
his first loan spell at the defunct ACN under Coach Asiwaju
Tinubu during the 2010/2011 season. However Coach
Tinubu
who has also taken up the job of gaffer at the APC has hailed
Atiku's signing as marvelous and described him as a
fantastic all round midfielder that will bring his spark and
creativity to the club.

Good one. Surely, APC FCnew signing Atiku would remain
squad player to be used as substitute player only rather dan
1st eleven player. Remember there are other young and
dimutive APC players for same midfield position Atiku is
recruited for. I am very sure Atiku will port APC FC to anoda
club at d end dis current 2014/2015 season for lack of playing
time. TIME WILL TELL.
