Abuja - No fewer than 6 000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Daily Trust.
The defectors were led by Yahaya Alhassan Gwagwa, a former mandate secretary, area council services secretariat, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
They said they decided to join the APC to lend their support for the present administration.
The defectors were received into APC by the party’s executives in Gwagwa ward.
Receiving the defectors, Mohammed Apulu, the Gwagwa Ward chairman promised to borrow some of his experience as an experienced grassroots politician.
